The ‘How to College’ Masterpost Dorm Life Holy Beaver! You’ve received your letter from Hogwarts MIT and you can’t wait to arrive! Remember to be careful around the muggles when disappearing into Terminal 3.14 at Logan Airport. Meanwhile, I have compiled a grand master list of links for any and all of you going to any college at all that are feeling a bit nervous. Hopefully, I’ve addressed most concerns. I’ve mined content from all over the internet, including my personal tumblr blog, other universities, random google searches, and of course, our very own Admissions blogs and MIT websites. This took a surprisingly long time to research and put together; I hope you all enjoy it! Please be aware that some of these links are from tumblr and other such places, so take what they have to say with many grains of salt. I apologize if any of them turn up dead; they work as of right now, but who knows whether the owners will take them down, or edit the content. Some of them also concern elephant-in-the-room topicsdrinking, sexual encounters, etc. I feel that it’s important to have knowledge on how to be safe in those environments, so I (again) apologize if any of you find the content offensive; that is of course not my intention, and last I checked they were all content which focused on safety and other such information, but again I have no control over when or whether the owners edit it. The Economy and Life During the 1920s - 635 Words

The 1920s was known for its prosperous and flamboyant lifestyle. The GDP during that time had risen by 30 percent and unemployment was as at an all-time low of 3 percent. This was not meant to last forever. In fact, it was nearly impossible for this to last any longer than it did due to an imbalance that society was unaware of including that not every citizen was experiencing this uncommon wealth. There were still 3 percent unemployed and even some of the employed members of society did not make enough to support a family and were considered homeless. It was in October of 1929 when this so-called luxurious lifestyle vanished as the stock market crashed at a time when the stock market seemed it would never stop increasing. This caused an economic, downhill, rolling ball effect. Those who took out loans to invest in stocks could not afford to repay the banks causing the banks to fail and close down. When the banks closed down, the depositors of that bank lost their life savings causing them to go broke and some company owners to close their doors. This led to a loss of jobs by the employers of those companies. This time period was known as the Great Depression and rightfully so. It is the most significant setback in the American Economy to date. The Herbert Hoover administration was in effect at this time giving the society an easy target to blame. Each religion or group of people has its own interpretation of an all seeing presence. We as people look to a higher being in hopes of having our deepest questions answered. I myself have never questioned the word of god itself, however, I have questioned man s interpretation of it. I firmly believe that religion is a fundamental topic that was created for the sole purpose of giving people hope and reason beyond what they could handle. Don’t try to be too smart by explaining the simple thing in a complicated way. Mean’s change your bad habits and attitude towards anything inorder to cultivate good habit in children’s. Because upto five years the child try to learn activities from mother and father.
